Co-Founder
Nitya Misra is a junior at Irvington High School and the cofounder of Youth Civic Digest. She is passionate about the United Nations, international relations, disarmament, nuclear energy and global diplomacy. Through her work with professors and experts connected to the UN, she is committed to uplifting youth voices and creating space for meaningful civic engagement. Outside of her advocacy work, she enjoys rock climbing.
Co-Founder
Utkarsh is a sophomore at Irvington High School and the cofounder of Youth Civic Digest. He serves as chair of his county’s youth advisory board, where he works on addressing language, racial and cultural barriers to mental health. He is deeply interested in politics, with a strong focus on mental health advocacy, and has spoken at California’s State Capitol in support of legislation by sharing his story with the press. Outside of his advocacy work, he enjoys spending time with friends and watching basketball.
